Our Building Process

American Custom Home Builders, Inc. takes care of you from concept to completion every step of the way. We manage the construction so that you don’t have to! For a clearer understanding of the many steps involved, we have divided the building process into six phases.

Our first phase would be the IPG form. One of our team members would walk you through Initial Project Guideline. This questionnaire is designed to provide a better idea of the caliber and style of home you would like to have built. We can suggest special design features and building materials to accommodate your ideas and lot specifications. This information will then allow us to better estimate the cost and time needed to complete your project.

Our second phase is obtaining all the building permits. This phase begins with the architect and interior design. We will assist you through professional plans and drafting, structural engineering, Title 24 Code requirements and through obtaining the building permit.

The third phase is ground work through framing. Utilities, foundation, and framing in a nut shell. Anything in the walls, like rough plumbing and rough electric are installed. This phase will lay the groundwork for the finishing touches in your home.

The fourth phase is sheetrock through rough trim. This is where your home begins to take shape. Paint and cabinetry make rooms recognizable. Both inside and out, the hardware and fixtures will be built and mounted. 

The fifth phase is exterior trim. This where the exterior is completed from the chimney top down to the landscaping. The roof, exterior overlay, paint, driveway and walkways will be completed.

The sixth and final phase is finish trim. All final building inspections are completed. Our team inspects every aspect of construction and finish work to deliver a home that we are proud of. Your satisfaction is our first priority.
